Once again, just over a year has passed. TTT3 occurred from June 29 - August 14, of 2017.
A big change from the previous two years was the addition of my colleague Craig Simmons to our teaching team. Craig's focus for the 6 weeks was modeling, shading, light and texturing, while I handled animation, rigging and effects. The training venue also changed this year, from VTDI, a short gravity assisted roll down Skyline drive, to Excelsior Community College on Mountainview ave, out towards Windward and the airport. The facilities were fantastic, the IT department on the ball, and the machines appropriate for the task of delivering 3d content. The added bonus from a communications standpoint, was a wired network, which allowed us to move data around with greater ease.
Outside of training, I shot more footage along the way, and created another short video of my travels.
I met new family members, reconnected with old, ate king crab in a car repo lot with dancehall pulsing around me at 1 am, danced Sunday nights away at the dub club, ran Skyline drive and Jacks hill 4 -5 days a week, and shot hoops with the local kids at the community center. There is a richness to this country, despite its economic station that is very unlike any other country in the world.
Out of many, one people.
